Posters at ChemIndix 2024

Dr. Asif Khan and Dr. Aldyandra Hami Seno are set to represent their expertise at ChemIndix 2024

ChemIndix 2024 is a prestigious technical conference organized by the Chemical Research & Innovation Society (CRIS) and sponsored by Saudi Aramco. Renowned across the Middle East and globally, ChemIndix brings together leading professionals from academia and industry to tackle critical challenges in the oil, chemical, and energy sectors.

This year’s conference, themed “Shaping the Future through Sustainability Solutions,” will focus on key topics, including Sustainability Solutions, the Future of Refining and chemicals, Materials Discovery for Sustainability Applications, Digitalization in Oil and gas, and Innovative Oilfield Chemicals and flow Assurance Solutions.

Dr. Asif Khan

As the Project Leader for Inspection, NDT, and SHM, Dr. Khan will present his poster, “Review of Remote Monitoring Systems for Non-metallic Applications.”
The presentation, aligned with the “Digitalization in Oil & Gas” theme of ChemIndix, will provide a comprehensive overview of the non-metallic value proposition. It will address commonly encountered in-service failures, challenges in monitoring non-metallic materials, and the development of a remote monitoring framework. Additionally, it will highlight current research gaps and outline future directions to advance the field.

Dr. Aldyandra Hami Seno

Dr. Seno, the Project Leader for Sensing and Monitoring, will present his work on “Structural Health Monitoring of Non-Metallic Structures in the Oil and Gas Industry.” His poster will highlight the application of integrated sensors on non-metallic pipes for continuous monitoring and what can be done with the information obtained with regard to short-term and long-term monitoring of structural integrity. He also presents how this emerging technology aligns with existing safety measures and regulations/standards where it provides information for better maintenance planning, reduces costs, and increases the safety of oil and gas structures.

Both presentations underscore the significance of sustainability and digital innovation in shaping the future of the energy industry, resonating deeply with ChemIndix’s mission and global impact.
