Dr. Hamad Al-Saiari holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from KFUPM and MS and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Rice University, Houston, USA. Dr. Al-Saiari joined Saudi Aramco in 2002 as lab scientist. In 2012 he was appointed the “Liaison Officer” for the first Saudi Aramco Satellite Research Center located in KAUST Research Park. During the same period, he led the Intelligent Systems (IS) team, Laser Technology team. in 2020, he was appointed the Chief Technologist of Oil and Gas Network Integrity (OGNI) R&D Division. On October 2023, he was assigned as the Manager for the new stand-alone Aramco Research Center at KAUST. He also was the Business Lead and the champion of the Digital Transformation in the Technology Oversight and Coordination (TOC) during the period of 2020-2024.

Prior to his leadership roles, He led several research projects in flow assurance, scale control, corrosion management and asset integrity. Dr. Al-Saiari was also serving in the Steering Committee of SPE International Oilfield Scale Conference in Scotland, UK between 2010 and 2024. He was the Chairman of the Technical Committee of Chemidix in 2019, and a founder and a president of NACE International Rice University Student Section in 2010. He published over 80 technical papers in peer review journals and international conferences and inventor and co-inventor of several; patents. He delivered many presentations in international meetings, and his team received several national and international awards.
